September 10, 2025 | Iligan City – A joint buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office 10 – Lanao del Norte Provincial Office, alongside the PDEA LDN Seaport Interdiction Unit, the PNP Regional Intelligence Unit (PNP-RIU) 10, and Iligan City Police Office – Police Station 4 (ICPO-PS 4), resulted in the dismantling of a drug den and the arrest of three suspects.
The operation took place at around 6:30 PM in Purok 6, Barangay Tambacan, Iligan City. Authorities seized nineteen (10) sachets of suspected shabu, weighing approximately six (6) grams with an estimated standard drug value of PHP 48,800.00, along with various drug paraphernalia and the recovery of the buy-bust money.
PDEA Regional Director Alex M. Tablate identified the arrested individuals as follows:
Alias “John”, single, 38 years old, male, resident of Purok 6, Brgy. Tambacan, Iligan City; (Drug Den Maintainer)
Alias “Mae”, single, 34 years old, female, resident of Purok 2, Brgy. Palao, Iligan City; (Visitor)
Alias “Grace”, married, 39 years old, female, and a resident of Purok 6, Brgy Tambacan, Iligan City; (Visitor)
The suspects will face charges for violations of Sections 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, and 15 RA 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
