THE turnover of electricity service by MORESCO 1 to four barangays in District One was conducted in collaboration with the local government, as well as the two congressional offices of Cagayan de Oro City, under the Sitio Electrification Program (SEP). The event took place on Thursday, February 12 of this year.
The occasion was held in separate venues across the four barangays. Representing 1st District Congressman Lordan Suan was Assistant District Director Bert Amplayo. Also present were Vice Mayor Jocelyn “Bebot” Rodriguez representing Congressman Rufus Rodriguez, Councilor Eric Salcedo representing Mayor Klarex Uy, along with MORESCO 1 officials led by Board Member Ritchie Veluz and Institutional Services Department Manager Marebec Cagalawan.
Amplayo revealed that the office of Congressman Lordan Suan fully supports the electrification program through SEP. A total of 47 beneficiary households were connected to electricity in Barangay Dansolihon under Captain Ogie Roa; 115 households in Barangay Mambuaya under Captain Philip Porras; 27 households in Barangay Bayanga under Captain Felipe Baang; and 80 households in Barangay Tagpangi under Captain Chenet Marianas, all through the efforts of MORESCO 1.
Amplayo added that Congressman Suan expressed great satisfaction over the electrification of several barangays in his district. He hopes that this will inspire residents and bring further development to each sitio now provided with electricity through the national government’s SEP program.
