CAMIGUIN (PIA)–As part of the 33rd Civil Registration Month celebration, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Camiguin held the Information and Education Campaign and National ID mobile registration at Sagay Gymnasium, February 8.
“Gimugna lang namo ni karong adlawa gitawag namo nga one-stop shop; naa tanan pag-distribute sa katong nangabot nga ID nga plastik ug kadtong temporary lang, ug mag-query ang mga tao kung unsa’y mga problema parte sa birth, marriage and death ug issuance, ug kadtoang wala pa naka-register sa Phil ID,” said Sagay Municipal Civil Registrar Engr. Jaime Mabolo.
(We held this one-stop shop today, which included the distribution of plastic and temporary IDs, answering questions, issuing birth, marriage, and death certificates, and registering for the Phil ID)
During the event, 42 individuals were handled for the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) Step 2 Registration, 50 E-PhilID were released, 85 PhilID cards were distributed, and 35 civil registry documents in security paper (SECPA) were issued and accepted.
Residents thanked PSA Camiguin for making it easier for them to get government services.
“Nalipay gyud kay naa nama’y among nakaptan nga national ID, dugay na gud ni kaayo nga among gihulat-hulat mao ning dako sad ko og kalipay tungod kay naapil sad mi diring tanan, akong anak ug akong bana akong anak sad sa Cagayan [de Oro City],” said Lenny Dalura, recipient of PhilSys ID in the town.
(I am very happy because I have finally gotten hold of the national ID. We have been waiting so long for this, and I am very happy too because all of my family members’ IDs were included–my child, my husband, and my child in Cagayan de Oro City)
The activity will also be held in the different towns of the province as the agency holds the month-long celebration of civil registration. (RTP/PIA-10/Camiguin)
