IN aid of advancing accessible healthcare for Filipinos, the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth)-10 inaugurates its Local Health Insurance Office (LHIO) Cagayan de Oro Office today, July 14.
Leading the activity is PhilHealth-10 Regional Vice President Delio A. Aseron II, LHIO-CDO Head Marlon Niño S. Arrabaca, representatives from partner national and local government agencies and offices, and other stakeholders.

According to PhilHealth RVP Aseron, the new LHIO-CDO office is seen to enhance its service delivery for beneficiaries in the city, and in the province of Misamis Oriental as a whole.
Compared to the previous office building, Aseron said, the new establishment will now be able to serve no less than 1,000 beneficiaries in a day.

Speaking on behalf of Misamis Oriental Provincial Governor Juliette Uy, District 2 Board Member Princess Emano said that the new LHIO is a welcome development for Misamisnons. Reaffirming Uy’s governance agenda with healthcare as its chief priority, Emano said that the provincial government commits to work with PhilHealth for the benefit of more residents here.

With the new office boasting expanded clientele reach, Emano said that Misamisnons will now spend less in accessing services from the state health insurer.
Meanwhile, Cagayan de Oro City Administrator Atty. Roy Raagas speaking on behalf of City Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy, said that the city government remains steadfast in working with the state health insurer to advance the Universal Healthcare Law, ensuring that this law and its benefits are felt by all Kagay-anons.
