Now on its 10th year, Tinagboan Festival slated August 8 to 10 as spearheaded by FOPANORMIN

THERE will be 36 exhibitors which will join the Tinagboan Festival this August 8 to 10 at Limketkai Rutonda.
Tinagboan Festival is an annual celebration that started 10 years ago as a stand-alone event during the fiesta month of Cagayan de Oro.
But for the past 2 years, Tinagboan Festival is held as part of the month-long Higalaay Festival in Cagayan de Oro City, Northern Mindanao.
The term “tinagboan” refers to the gathering or corming together, reflecting the spirit of unity among food entrepreneurs, cultural advocates and culinary innovators as organized by the Food Processors Association of Northern Mindanao (FOPANORMIN).
It celebrates cultural heritage, showcasing traditional food practices, heirloom recipes and native delicacies that represent the diverse culinary traditions of Mindanao.
It promotes food innovation, introducing modern techniques in food processing, packaging and
presentation that reflect the region’s evolving food industry.
It also provides a platform for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the food sector to exhibit their products, build networks and access new markets.
Visitors can experience a wide range of local food products from processed meats and snacks to native delicacies and organic beverages.
The festival draws thousands of local and visiting food lovers, business investors and tourists, making it a high-impact event for visibility and growth of homegrown food brands.
As a celebration of both tradition and transformation, Tinagboan Festival strengthens community identity, supports local livelihoods and positions Cagayan de Oro as a hub for food innovation and cultural richness in Mindanao.
