THE Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) 10 (Northern Mindanao) assured the public that it has no “ghost projects” in the city and that all are accounted for.
During a town hall meeting on Wednesday, DPWH District 1 engineer Anna Lee Manzano said all infrastructure developments within their jurisdiction, including flood-control projects, are on track for completion.
“We have been in constant communication with these projects, and they have been prompt in responding,” she said.
Manzano added that some minor delays may be noted because of the rainy weather, but construction always resumes as soon as possible.
Under the 1st Engineering District of this city, DPWH-10 has 85 target projects, six of which are for flood mitigation and are expected to be completed this year.
The DPWH-10 statement came in response to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s call during his State of the Nation Address for transparency in all ongoing government projects. (PNA)
