Mimaropa police capture Palawan’s top 2 fugitives and 4 accomplices

In Manila, members of the Police Regional Office 4B (Mimaropa) successfully apprehended two individuals listed as Palawan province’s most wanted persons (MWP) along with four others in separate operations conducted on Sunday. According to a statement released on Monday by PRO 4B director Brig. Gen. Roger Quesada, one of the apprehended individuals, identified as a 39-year-old known as “Joseph”, held the top spot on Palawan’s most wanted list. The arrest took place in Barangay San Miguel, Puerto Princesa City. “Joseph” is facing charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, as per a warrant issued by a Puerto Princesa City court.

Meanwhile, PRO 4B personnel also apprehended 26-year-old “Mark Angelo”, listed as the ninth most wanted person in Narra town, in Barangay Luzviminda, Puerto Princesa City. He is wanted for robbery with a recommended bail of PHP48,000.

Meanwhile, four other wanted persons were apprehended for various charges — “Marlo”, 22, for violation of Presidential Decree (PD) 705 in relation to RA 7161 or the Revised Forestry Code of the Philippines; “Rey John”, 24, for violation of PD 499 in relation to PD 1602 (illegal gambling) as amended; “Jerick”, 29, for robbery and “Daniel”, 50, for violation of RA 9165.

Quesada said the arrested suspects would be turned over to the issuing courts for proper disposition. (PNA)
