BARANGAY Balulang in Cagayan de Oro City recently celebrated its 26th Araw ng Barangay thanks to the guidance and leadership of award-winning chairman Edwin Micabani.
The bulk of the activities was held at the newly opened riverside park and market in Ilaya.
On May 1, there was a civic parade; a race of trisikads; Larong Pinoy featuring the various sitios, homeowners associations and youth organizations; a singing contest aptly called Balulang Star 2026 followed by a fireworks display and the all-night concert of Tribu CDO.
The day after, there was a dart competition at the barangay hall while at the riverside park and market, a boxing tournament was held at daytime followed by open mic night as twilight beckoned.
By May 3, there was a rapid chess tournament and two days later, a zumba was held – all at Balulang covered court.
Barangay Balulang, under the dynamic leadership of Micabani, has been recognized as one of the 𝙏𝙤𝙥 𝙏𝙚𝙣 𝙊𝙪𝙩𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘽𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙮 𝙄𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨 2025 𝙂𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙨.
