THE program was attended by city officials led by Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy, the entire City Hall bureaucracy and representatives from regional offices of national government agencies and relatives of the city’s first local officials.
In his speech to mark the event, Mayor Klarex credited the city’s founding fathers and local officials who served the city for years with some like the late Senate president Aquilino Pimentel Jr going on to serve the country.
Mayor Klarex also thanked the Kagay-anons for their vote of confidence in his administration at City Hall and called for unity as the city moves forward to meet the socio-economic and political challenges that lie ahead in the years to come./Text by SC with photos by Reynan Baylin and Roel Felicitas
