MISAMIS ORIENTAL – In a resounding show of support for Micro, Small, and Medium Entrepreneurs (MSMEs) and Cooperatives in Misamis Oriental, Governor Peter “Sr. Pedro” M. Unabia met with 25 beneficiaries of the Provincial Micro-finance Unit’s Livelihood for Economic Recovery and Acceleration Program (PMU-LEAP).
These beneficiaries have received significant support totalling P22 million pesos, which was provided as Livelihood Assistance during the 65th Flag Raising Ceremony held at the Provincial Capitol Grounds on October 23, 2023. This financial boost will aid these entrepreneurs in expanding their businesses and prospering in the province.
Governor Unabia’s commitment to supporting MSMEs and cooperatives through the PMU-LEAP program reflects his dedication to economic growth, job creation, and the overall development of Misamis Oriental, ultimately resulting in poverty reduction in the province.
This substantial financial assistance will undoubtedly pave the way for a brighter future for these small businesses, fostering prosperity and progress in the community. This initiative aligns with the Governor’s Paglaum Development Agenda, which focuses on promoting livelihood and employment through industry development.
