MORE than 1,000 Kagay-anon youths joined the 2025 Global Youth Summit held Friday (Aug. 29) at the SM CDO Downtown Event Hall, Cagayan de Oro City.
Hosted by the Global Peace Foundation and SM Cares with assistance by City Hall’s Oro Youth Development Office, the summit was attended by city officials led by Vice Mayor Jocelyn Rodriguez, Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation President Kenneth John Sacala and Oro Youth Development Office Officer-in-Charge Lord Saver Centina.
The summit tackled concerns on ensuring quality education, employment and economic growth, peace, justice and strengthening social institutions.
The Global Youth Summit is the biggest youth gathering in the country aimed at empowering young people to become leaders and contribute to significant global change. It is held in line with the Oro Youth month held every August. (NLB/CIO/photo courtesy of SM CDO Downtown)
