Five brgys receive more health equipment from World Vision

MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)–Five geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDA) barangays here receive more health equipment from World Vision Philippines under its Urban Child Protection Project.

GIDA barangays include Tuca Ambolong, Rapasun, Cadayonan 1 , Cadayonan 2 and Malimono.

Brgy. Rapasun chairperson Asniah Limbona said the additional equipment is a big help for their constituents since their place is far away from the City Health Office.

[Malaki po ang tulong nila sa barangay namin. Malaking tulong ito sa constituent sa aming barangay lalo na sa mga may karamdaman na hindi na kailangan pumunta sa malalayong health center.]

For this second set of equipment, World Vision turned over five examination hospital beds, five weighing scales for infants, five Detecto weighing scales, 500 Blood Uric Acid strips, and 500 blood glucose strips.

To recall, the organization previously provided blood pressure monitors, fetal doppler, uric meter, among others. (LELA/ PIA Lanao del Sur)
