MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)–As the rehabilitation of the siege-stricken city continues, the government assures that the construction of school buildings in Marawi also progresses.
City Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Anna Zenaida Unte-Alonto shared in an episode of Talakayan sa PIA on Sunday, February 6, that ten four-storey integrated school buildings with 20 classrooms each are being established as duly-funded and world-class.
She said one building was already finished and they are just waiting for it to be officially turned over to the Marawi City Schools Division.
For the remaining nine buildings, Alonto stated that the construction of such is still ongoing and in full blast.
With this infrastructure project eyeing the betterment of the delivery of education in the city, the division superintendent is optimistic that the support they are receiving will be sustained.
“I am hoping with the government, as what they have shown in the height of the siege until this very moment, of the strong support of making Marawi rise again,” said Alonto. (CRG/PIA-Lanao del Sur)
