IN advance observance of the National Tuberculosis Day, on August 19, we are reminded of the urgent need to intensify our efforts in combating one of the world’s most persistent health challenges.
Tuberculosis continues to affect millions of lives globally and remains a significant public health concern here in the Philippines.
The Department of Heath Center for Health Development – Northern Mindanao, along with their partners and stakeholders, has made significant strides in the fight against tuberculosis but our work is far from over.
We must continue to strengthen our tuberculosis prevention and treatment programs, invest in innovative solutions, and raise awareness about the importance of early detection and adherence to treatment.
Together, we can create a future where tuberculosid is no longer a threat to our communities, and where every individual affected by this disease receives the care they deserve.
As we observd National Tuberculosis Day, let us also honor the tireless efforts of our healthcare workers, community leaders and advocates who work every day to fight this disease.
Their dedication and commitment are the foundation of our progress.
We call on the public, the private sector, and all levels of government to join us in this fight. Together, we can achieve a tuberculosis-free community and ensure a healthier future for all.
