World Patient Safety Day, observed every September 17, raises awareness and encourages action to improve patient safety.
This year’s theme is “Safe Care for Every Newborn and Child” with the slogan ‘Patient Safety from the Start!’ highlighting the need to protect this vulnerable age group from harm caused by unsafe care.
In support of this observance, COWD donated items, two nebulizing machines and one infant weighing scale to each of its partner hospitals — J.R. Borja General Hospital, Lumbia City Hospital and Northern Mindanao Medical Center. This initiative manifests COWD’s appreciation of the health sector and community’s role in ensuring a healthier and safer future for every child.
