THE Cagayan de Oro City government is urging the public to mass report the Facebook page in the picture since it has been posting malicious fake content against Mayor Rolando Uy. This Facebook page has likewise been reported already to the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Unit.
In a separate interview with Magnum Radyo, Uy also denied all the malicious content stipulated in the post. Uy urged the public to follow only official social media accounts in order not to be misinformed.
How to Report a Fake Page on Facebook:
- Go to the Page – Open the fake page you want to report.
- Click the three dots (…) – Found below the cover photo (next to the “Message” or “Follow” button).
- Select “Report Page.”
- Choose the reason – Select “Scams and Fake Pages” or “Pretending to be someone” (if they are impersonating).
- Submit your report.
- Block the page (optional but recommended) – so it won’t interact with you again.
