THE new Commission on Audit Multi-Purpose Bullding is now among the largest regional
offices in Mindanao.
With its eco-friendly and energy-efficient design, it reflects the Department of Public Works and Highways vision for sustainable public infrastructure.

This significant development was realized through the budgetary support secured by Congressman Atty. Lordan Suan who championed the inclusion offunding for this project, making today’s milestone possible.
This four-storey structure has a total floor area of 5,566 square meters and is designed to support the operational, administrative and wellness needs of the organization.

The ground floor functions as a dedicated parking area, providing sufficient space for employees, visitors and official vehicles.
The second and third floors serve as the core administrative zones, accommodating support staff.
These office spaces house various auditing units along with the areas structured to promote workflows, inter-office coordination and a professional working environment.
The fourth floor is designated for executive use and special functions.
It houses the offices and quarters of the Regional Director and Assistant Regional Director as well
as accommodations for visiting officials.
Adjacent to these areas is a roof deck that
features a multipurpose hall and gym, which are regularly used for official events, meetings, wellness activities and staff development programs.
The building construction has a contract amount of P189,637,558.13 and was completed on April 7, 2025.
It was carried out in three phases:
Phase 1: Foundation Works
Phase 2. Structural Works and Finishing of the Second Floor
Phase 3: Completion of the Entire Building
The establishment of a permanent facility for COA Region-X marks a significant step toward strengthening public accountability and service delivery.
By uniting all audit teams and essential support units under one roof, the new building fosters improved coordination, operational efficiency and streamlined communication.
This centralization not only enhances day-to-day functions but also reflects the Commision’s dedication to upholding its mandate of transparency and integrity in governance.
