KAPATAGAN, Lanao del Norte (PIA) – Less fortunate and indigent patients suffering from kidney failure and diseases here can now undergo their hemodialysis sessions at the newly-opened Hemodialysis Center located in Kapatagan Provincial Hospital.
Funded by the provincial government, the center will not only serve the hemodialysis patients in Kapatagan but also those from nearby municipalities.
“The building is funded by the provincial government and we are very lucky and blessed. I would like to thank the Department of Helath 10 for including us in this package,” said Gov. Imelda “Angging” Dela Cruz Quibranza.
The Governor also shared that she envisions upgrading health services to the people in the province so that they will no longer have to go to other hospitals in other cities. She encouraged the residents to trust the provincial hospitals as they provide good quality health services.
Meanwhile, DOH-10 Regional Director Jose Llacuna Jr. underscored the significance of the collaboration of national and local governments to provide quality public health service.
“This is a manifestation of the cooperation of the local and national government units. The national and local governments must work hand-in-hand to attain quality health service delivery,” he said.
When fully functioning, the newly-opened hemodialysis center will operate for two sessions per day. The facility also complements the services of the hemodialysis center in Lanao del Norte Provincial Hospital located in Baroy Town. (LELA/PIA-10-Lanao deo Norte)
