Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Lanao del Norte generated more than P300,000 in sales in its two-day Diskwento Caravan, benefiting 1,874 households.
After two years of conducting the Diskwento Caravan online, DTI Lanao del Norte in coordination with the Local Price Coordinating Council-Iligan City conducted a blended Balik Eskwela Diskwento Caravan last August 18-19, 2022 at the Iligan City Public Plaza.
The caravan was in preparation for the opening of face-to-face classes to all public schools on August 22, 2022.
A total of 16 exhibitors joined the event and offered 10% discount of their products. Among the exhibitors were Iligan City Agriculture’s Office and a local delivery service, Mr. P. Express.
Two telecommunications networks also provided the exhibitors with booths and free Wi-Fi to help promote their products online.
Diskwento Caravan is an initiative of DTI that aims to provide reasonably-priced quality products to the consuming public.
