CdeO Diskwento Caravan generates close to Php300,000 sales on first day 

Cagayan de Oro City’s Diskwento Caravan: Fiesta and Balik Eskwela Edition generated total sales of Php288,575.50 on its first day, benefitting 893 customers in the city and nearby areas in the province of Misamis Oriental.

Organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Misamis Oriental and the Local Government Unit of Cagayan de Oro City, the caravan officially opened on August 25, 2022 and will end on August 28, 2022 at Cagayan de Oro City Hall Mini Park.

The four-day caravan offers 5%-60% discounts on retail prices of basic necessities such as canned sardines, processed milk, instant noodles, bottled water; and prime commodities including canned processed meat, soaps, school supplies; and other consumer goods.

Participating firms include Nature’s Spring, Vitalize Distribution, Petron, Anand Marketing, Megasoft Hygienic Products, Fivel/Big 8 Ventures, Bluesun Philippines, Surequick Marketing, Kalbe International, Shopwise, Globe EC-Pay, Pik and Pak, Beehive Distribution, The meat Up, ILT Food Products, Virginia Foods, San Miguel Foods, URC – Pathfinder, Solar Industries, Crown Paper, Romark Sales, Ginama, Spruce, PT United Family Food, Julmar Commercial, The Life Giving Product, and Wellmade Manufacturing.

Originally offered by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) as a non-wage benefit to workers and low-income earners, the Diskwento Caravan has become a part of the key programs of DTI and a component activity of the Cagayan de Oro Higalaay Festival.
