Incoming CDO tertiary scholars attend orientation

THE City Scholarships Office has already released the results for the 1,527 city scholars for School Year 2025–2026, with 936 under the academic-based category and 591 under the non-academic category.

The selection of applicants was based on the submitted documents such as grades, family income, leadership and awards, as well as the interview and qualifying exam.

Along this line, the new scholars atteded an orientation June 2, at 1:00 PM at the Capitol University Gymnasium and received their Certificate of Scholarship Grant, which will be used for enrollment.

It was emphasized that the scholarship program is one of the major initiatives strongly pursued by Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy to help fulfill the dreams of young people to finish their education.

Since his first term in office, the number of city scholars has already reached 15,000, with additional programs including medical school scholarships, law school scholarships, and vocational courses. (NLB/CIO)
