CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan de Oro City- PBGEN JAYSEN C DE GUZMAN, Acting Regional Director of PRO10, said on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, that the peace and order situation in Northern Mindanao remained ‘generally peaceful’ during the filing of Certificates of Candidacy (COC) for the 2025 Midterm Elections.
As of 4:00 PM today, PRO10 recorded no incidents that happened in the region in relation to the filing of Certificate of Candidacy from October 1 to 8, 2024.
The deployment of 1,152 police personnel across the region, which includes 384 stationed at police assistance desks (PADs) and 768 members of the Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs), has ensured public safety and the smooth conduct of election-related activities.
During the filing of COC, PRO10 ensured its comprehensive security measures including its heightened intelligence monitoring, deployment of PNP personnel for police visibility, and random checkpoint operations.
PBGEN DE GUZMAN further said that PRO10 is always ready and prepared to respond any incident that may arise during the conduct of any election-related activities.
He emphasized the importance of remaining vigilant even after the conclusion of the filing process.
“Nagpapasalamat ako na walang insidente ang naganap kaugnay sa paghahain ng Certificate of Candidacy. Gayunpaman, hindi pa rin tayo dapat maging kampante.
