TESDA-10 recognizes program partners

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PIA)–The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)-10 recognized partners in the implementation of its programs and activities during the recently concluded 2022 TESDA Awards, August 31.

Having the theme, “Sulong sa makabagong trabaho,” the awards gathered all the TESDA-10 programs stakeholders. Institutional awards on the Legislative Category was given to the 2nd Congressional District of Misamis Oriental, while Industry Category was awarded to TCO Socio-Economic and Environmental Development, Inc.

TESDA-10 Regional Director Ashary A. Banto said the awards night is a manifestation of successful partnership in implementing the programs that seek to promote the importance of developing technical skills and education among Filipinos. He said he looks forward to more awardees, and more partners in the next awarding events.

In addition to institutional awards, TESDA also hailed its “Idols ng TESDA” which are given to Alexander Ray I. Sumania for self-employed category and Grace D. Cabaron for the wage-employed category. The 2022 Tagsanay Award is further given to Daphne D. Beniga.

TESDA-10 as well as recognized the entire RTESDC chaired by Eduardo F. Pelaez, and its Industry Board Members namely Ruben A. Vegafria, Eugenio P. Ladera Jr., Nenita M. Tan, Dr. Marte M. Emperio, and Engr. Arthur Mencius B. Quiblat.

The department’s training centers also named their best local government unit partners. LGU Iligan was named best partner for Regional Training Center of Iligan, while LGU Barangay Lumbia is the best partner for Provincial Training Center based in Cagayan de Oro City. For LGU partner of Provincial Training Center – Camiguin, Catarman bagged the award.

Provincial Training Center of Lanao del Norte named Lanao del Norte Provincial Government as its best partner, while for Misamis Occidental, the training center selected the Municipal Agriculture Office of Plaridel. Camiguin School of Arts and Trades chose to recognize LGU Mambajao.

Kinoguitan National Agricultural School and Provincial Training Center – Bukidnon, on the other hand, recognized the City Veterinary Office of Valencia and Valencia City LGU, respectively. Further, Oroquieta City Agro-Industrial School awarded LGU Oroquieta.

TESDA also named its best industry partners, namely Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Commerce and Industries Foundation, Inc., Republic Biscuit Corporation, Villa Paraiso and Apartelle of Camiguin, Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation of Iligan, Inc., Minergy Power Corporation, Ozamiz City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation, Inc., Rural Transit of Mindanao, Inc. – Singko Motor Works, Redsea Agro Industrial Corporation;

Rural Transit of Mindanao, Inc., Allied Services Multipurpose Cooperative, Adtech Computer Sales and Services, Bamboo Ecologic Export Philippines, Inc., Corbox Corporation, Del Monte Philippines, Inc., First Asianmetals Corporation, Gapuz Computer Services and Accessories, Hube Computer Store, Metro Coolaire Engineering Services, Pryce Gases, Inc., Sysware Computer Services, Top Forest Developers, Inc., Vifel Ice Plant and Cold Storage, Inc.;

Jonrich Enterprises, Mindanao Oriental Builders, Inc., Oro Geometic Builders, Inc., J Salon, Juvel Elte Corporation, Chali Beach Resort and Conference Center, Bintana sa Paraiso Hotel Resort, Maxims Farm, Greenminds Inc., Tomonglay Agro-Forestry Farm, PBAR Agricultural Learning Center, and Velvet Vanille.

Best Media Partners include Philippine Information Agency (PIA)-10, PIA Bukidnon, PIA Lanao del Norte, PIA Misamis Oriental, PIA Misamis Occidental, Eagle Broadcasting Corporation, and Radyo Pilipinas.

They also awarded their partners in implementing TESDA’s role in Executive Order 70. They are 4th Infantry Division Philippine Army, Philippine National Police 10, 88th Infantry Battalion, 58th Infantry Battalion 4ID PA, Misamis Occidental Provincial Police Office, Jose Apollo Y. Pacamalan of Provincial Agriculture Office of Misamis Oriental, 16th Infantry (Maglilingkod) Battalion, Misamis Oriental Police Provincial Office, PNP 2nd Police Mobile Force Company Misamis Oriental, and Misamis Occidental Provincial Field Office of Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) – Region 10.

Recognized National Government Agency (NGA) Partners of TESDA-10 are Department of Trade and Industry-10, DOLE-10, DOLE Bukidnon Field Office, DTI Camiguin, DTI Lanao del Norte, DTI Misamis Oriental, and 10th Infantry Battalion.

TESDA-10 also gave awards to Best Community Training and Employment Coordinators in different provinces, association partners and most importantly, gave awards to its personnel. They had Best TESDA Provincial Office of 2021, Best TESDA Technology Institution of 2021, and Loyalty Awards. (IJBD/PIA-10)
