ILIGAN CITY (PIA)–With the energization of the Iligan Light and Power, Inc. (ILPI), an electric utility company here on July 1, 67 more households in Sitio Rebucon in Mainit village will benefit after processing applications for electricity connection.
According to Brgy. Mainit chairperson Alfredo Mehino, he has served the barangay since 1989 and the Sitio was not yet energized.
With this, Mehino conveyed gratitude to ILPI for addressing their needs. He also thanked the newly-elected Mayor Frederick Siao who was then the representative of the lone district of the city and also helped in following up on the energization of their area.
“Nalipay kaayo mi ug dako kay natagaan mi ug dakong pag-tagad. Di ni basta-basta ang among gibati na ang kalipay,” he said.
[We are very happy because we were given a lot of attention. Our happiness cannot be measured.]
There are 16 sitios in Brgy. Mainit. Of which, 12 are already energized.
To recall, ILPI has energized other remote barangays in the city namely Hindang, Lanipao, Dulag, Kalilangan, and Panoroganan. (LELA/PIA-10-Lanao del Norte)
