THE new partylist Partido ng Bagong Pilipino (PBP) will be legislating for more access to potable water in underserved barangays in the country if it wins.
According to first nominee Goyo Larrazabal, 53 percent of the Philippine population still do not have access to potable water.
“During the time of President Magsaysay, healthy drinking water was a concern. Sadly, it remains a concern up to now,” Larrazabal said February 7 during a town hall stopover in Cagayan de Oro City.
Larrazabal said all these concerns will be addressed in the Accessible Potable Water Act.
Another concern that PBP is pushing is road access in remote barangays.
Larrazabal said that even to this day where national highways are six lanes wide, there are still other parts of the Philippines which do not have ample roads for vehicle accessibility.
