BY JOEL C. ESCOL, Managing Editor

MISAMIS ORIENTAL – In his State of the Province Address (SOPA), Governor Peter M. Unabia announced a significant collaboration between the provincial government and real estate developer A Brown Company.

The joint effort aims to establish twin towers, comprising a condominium and mixed-use commercial building, in close proximity to the Provincial Capitol.

Governor Unabia highlighted that the twin towers project is a major undertaking during his administration and will serve as a lasting legacy for the province. It symbolizes his unwavering commitment to public service over personal interests. The ambitious project, presented on January 12, 2024, has already received approval from the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

The twin towers will feature a condominium, hotel, and various businesses, creating a comprehensive destination for new condo residents and travelers alike. This development is a key component of the proposed Capitol Master Development Plan.

Notably, the centerpiece of the initiative is the construction of a 26-storey mixed-use high-rise building, redefining the skyline. Additionally, the project includes a 5-storey office building and a 7-storey dormitory and office complex.

Governor Unabia shared that the project’s footprint will encompass the existing provincial jail area, extending towards the tennis courts. The masterplan development is designed to establish a vibrant urban environment that seamlessly integrates public services, business activities, residential living, and recreational spaces.

The incorporation of open and green spaces aims to provide a dynamic setting where people can enjoy a harmonious balance of various activities.
