THE Misamis Oriental provincial government has generated a total of P18 million in the economic enterprises it either owned and leased by tenants in 2024.
Gov. Peter Unabia reported this during his monthly report at the flag raising with employees earlier today, February 3.
This, after the Capitol strengthened its revenue collection starting last year via amendments to the Provincial Revenue Code.
In January this year alone, the provincial government was able to collect P5 million already from these enterprises.
Revenues earned came from the Paglaum Business Complex, the provincial canteen, the cafe at Vicente de Lara park, weekend farmers market, Pelaez Sports Center and Echavez Kitchenette at Lasang park in Laguindingan town.
Provincial administrator John Ladaga said that collections will automatically go to the Capitol coffers to fund its single digit poverty initiatives.
