World Travel Awards
For the 10th straight year, Seda Hotels has been recognized as the “PHILIPPINES’ LEADING HOTEL GROUP” in the prestigious World Travel Awards (WTA)!
The WTA Asia and Oceania Gala Ceremony 2023for “the Oscars of the travel and tourism industry” was held this year at the GEM Center in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Stakeholders in the local tourism and hospitality were quick to extend their felicitations to the group for their unprecedented accomplishment.
“The Cagayan de Oro Hotel and Restaurant Association would like to congratulate Seda Hotels for winning its 10th straight title as the Philippine’s Leading Hotel in this year’s World Travel Awards,” said Jeffrey Limbonhai, president of the Cagayan de Oro Hotels & Restaurant Association (COHARA). “Since its establishment in Cagayan de Oro, Seda Centrio has been an invaluable member of our association, sharing their insights and best practices for the betterment of our city’s hospitality industry. We wish them more success and prestigious awards in the years to come!”

Established in 1993, the WTA is now globally recognized as the “ultimate hallmark of excellence” in the tourism and hospitality industries. It covers country, regional, and world awards.
Another highlight of the awarding ceremony was the recognition of the Philippines as “Asia’s Leading Dive Destination” for the fifth year in a row.
Aside from Seda Hotels, several other Philippine tourism stakeholders in the private sector were likewise recognized during the event, among them Discovery Shores Boracay (Philippines’ Leading Beach Resort 2023), Travelite Travel and Tours Co. (Philippines’ Leading Destination Management Company 2023), and Okada Manila (Asia’s Leading Casino Resort 2023).
Regional winners, as well as runners-up and previous year’s awardees, are qualified for the WTA’s World edition, which will take place in Muscat, Oman in November 2023.
