Sinacaban town holds ‘immersion, serbisyo caravan’

SINACABAN, Misamis Occidental–Sinacaban town through the leadership of Mayor Dello Lood complied with the Executive Order 70 through the "Immersion and Serbisyo Caravan" under the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP), where basic services are brought to Barangay San Lorenzo Ruiz, Sinacaban, a far-flung barangay in the municipality, which is one of Communist NPA Terrorist (CNT)-influenced areas.
San Lorenzo Barangay Captain Jean Macan expressed her appreciation to both the local government, 10th Infantry Battalion, Philippine National Police (PNP)-Oroquieta and other national line agency for conducting the immersion and serbisyo caravan activity.
“Kining hatag sa mga tao sa among barangay nagpakita nga ang gobyerno seryoso sa ilang saad nga mga serbisyo ug maapil mi sa mga proseso sa pag-uswag, (These services gave assurance to the people in our barangay that the government is serious in its commitment to bring change and to include us in the development process),” she said.
During the immersion and serbisyo caravan, Mayor Dello Lood said they will ensure that the true service of the government will reach the barangay and he urges the residents to seek for assistance if evey they encounter problems.
For his part, Sinacaban Police Captain Alvin Tamayo said the caravan aims to bring various services of the government to address and help the residents of barangay San Lorenzo.
“Only the government has the capacity to help solve the problems in (your) community, not the armed group of rebels and you just have to trust the government and be patient,” he added.
Meanwhile, 10th Infantry Battalion Officer 1Lt Rufino Velasco underscored the importance of the RCSP, an umbrella program under Executive Order No. 70 – institutionalizing the whole-of-nation approach to end local communist armed conflict (ELCAC) in the country.
“Nandito ang full support ng local government unit kasama din ng ibang agencies at police. Mas maganda na ang program ng gobyerno. Ganu’n ka seryoso ang ating presidente sa kagustuhan niyang masugpo ang problema ng insurgency,” Velasco said.
(The local government unit is here to support together with the other agencies and police. The government program is now made better. That's how our president is serious to end the problem of insurgency)
The 'Serbisyo Caravan' highlighted the medical mission from the Municipal Health Office (MHO), which offers free medical and dental check-up, hemoglobin test, and random blood sugar test.
Beneficiaries also received food packs, 20 pcs of plastic chairs, alcohol and face masks, slippers for the children, and gentleman's haircut, circumcision from 10IB and other services. Farmers in the area also received vegetable seeds, corn seeds, tilapia fingerlings, dewormer for small livestock from Municipal Agriculture's Office. (SMRN/PIA Misamis Occidental)
