CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – THE Rotary Governor of Rotary International District 3870 has announced the recipient clubs in the district who receive their District Grants during the awrdning cermonies held on October 20, 2023.
Governor Gilda “Gigi” Go said the recipient clubs include the following:

“CONGRATULATIONS to all the Clubs who received their District Grants last night during the Awarding of District Grants,” the Rotary Distict Governor said in her Rotary FB account.
Go said the awarding ceremony was graced by District dignitaries, including DGE Hubert Quiblat, DGN Marlowe Selecios, District Rotary Foundation Chair Manuel “Manny” Along together with Lady Biema; PAG Ruth Ignacio, Chair, Grants Management; PAG Luis Pineda, Chair, Stewardship; and PAG Elaine Sadava, Polio Plus Chair.
She also explained that District grants fund small-scale, short-term activities that address local community needs and even needs of communities abroad. Each district chooses which activities it will fund with these grants. This includes service travel and disaster recovery efforts, Scholarships for any level, length of time, location, or area of study, Youth programs, including Rotary Youth Exchange, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), Rotaract, and Interact, and Vocational training teams (which are groups of professionals who travel abroad either to teach local professionals about their field or to learn more about it themselves).
