IMPASUGONG, Bukidnon—In a bid to further strengthen the government’s efforts to fight insurgency, the Department of Agriculture (DA)-10 recently launched the ‘One DA adopt a community’ in Sitio Mintapod, Hagpa, Impasug-ong, Bukidnon.

DA-10 Regional Executive Director Carlene C. Collado said this project was forged following the success of the recently launched ‘One DA adopt a community’ in Sitio Kalhaan, Minalwang, Claveria, Misamis Oriental in partnership with the 4th Infantry Division, Philippine Army and the local government unit last April 14.

“The ‘One DA’ project launching in Claveria town is the first in the country. It aims to assist and rehabilitate the potential agri-communities in support of President Rodrigo Duterte’s Executive Order No. 70 or whole-of-nation approach through a vigorous agricultural development that could contribute to achieving peace and development,” Collado said.

He said the DA Regional Management Committee (RMC) in Northern Mindanao assists and supports the peace and development efforts of the government’s Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (TF-ELCAC).

“The ‘One DA’ is a holistic approach to agriculture and fisheries transformation with the contributions of the different RMC member agencies,” Collado added. (DA 10/PIA Bukidnon)
