GUENDOLYN B. Almonte of Misamis Occidental National High School was the grand winner of the 1st PhilHealth National Quiz Bee regional level and will represent Northern Mindanao or Region 10 in the national finals next year in the state-operated universal health care provider’s 25th anniversary on February 14, 2020 held in Manila.
But before the national finals, a qualifying round to all Mindanao regional winners from Regions 9,10,11,12,Caraga and BARMM will be held on December 6 this year in Davao City.
Second placer in the competition that was held last November 19 at Mallberry Business Suites in Cagayan de Oro City was Glen Glieza T. Fuentecilla of Lanao del Norte Comprehensive High School while the third place went to Missy M. Abad of Iligan City National High School.
The contest is divided into four levels – the division, regional, area and national levels.
Prizes include P5,000 for the regional champion, P10,000 for the area level champion and P100,000 for the national champion with a computer package of schools they represented.
PhilHealth National Quiz Bee will be one of the main activities during the 25th PhilHealth anniversary celebration next year.
