Lanao Sur chief exec promises ramped up service for citizens

MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)—Following the mass oath-taking of officials of the province of Lanao del Sur, Governor Mamintal Alonto Adiong Jr. pledged that he would continue to render quality and even upgraded service to the public under his jurisdiction.

“Patuloy nating itataas ang pamantayan ng ating serbisyong publiko at palawakin ang mga programa na pawang natuon sa pagtaas ng antas ng pamumuhay ng ating mga nasasakupan,” he said in his inaugural message.

[We will continue to level up the standard of our public service and intensify the programs which are all focused on the improvement of the status of living of our constituents.]

Adiong also delivered his gratitude to the people for the support he received in the recently concluded national and local elections.

He stated that his winning signified that communities in the province trust in his capability, ability, and kind of leadership that covers his broad planning, smart decision-making, and wise implementation of programs and projects, including laws and policies of the national and the Bangsamoro government.  

Adiong further magnified the need for a more unified government to carry out its duties.

“Ang mandatong ibinigay sa atin muli ng ating mga taga-suporta na mamuno sa ating lalawigan ay siyang tanglaw ng ating bagong tungkulin na ngangangailangan ng bago at mas matibay na pagkakaisa ng mga sangay ng gobyerno kagaya ng ehekutibo, lehislatibo, mga departamento ng Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, government, ministry, city, municipal, at barangay local government units,” said Adiong.

[The mandate given once again by our supporters to lead the province is what we see as our new responsibility that needs new and more intensified unity of the various government like the executive, legislative, and departments of Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao  government, ministry, city, municipal, and barangay local government units.]

The governor shared that for the past three years wherein he was also in the same position, the province faced different challenges and triumphs yet the provincial government remained direct in its aim of effecting programs for security, peace, agriculture, infrastructure, and health, especially amidst the COVID-19 health crisis.

As such, he laid his plans and agenda for his first 100 days in his office which are all centered on the same aspects.

“Sa ngalan ng serbisyong publiko, mananatili tayong nakatutok sa pagpapalawig ng mga programang mag-aangat sa kalidad ng paglilingkod para asa ating lahat at Lanao del Sur [In the name of public service, we will stay focused on extending our programs to alleviate the quality of service for everyone and Lanao del Sur]. We must pursue excellence because in this level of public service that will help improve the lives of our constituents and ultimate stakeholders,” said Adiong. (CRG/PIA-10/Lanao del Sur)
