IDC’s Chairman to talk about Green Living at POCB/DTI Anniversary Event

One of the highlights in this year’s week-long anniversary event that will be held from June 21 to June 28 is going to be the participation of great speakers from the government and private sector, among which also Arch. Romolo Nati, Chairman and CEO of Italpinas Development Corporation.
Along-side DTI secretary Ramon Lopez, the event features all the important personalities of the construction and engineering service industry. With the title “Capitalizing on Free Trade Areas (FTAs) for MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises)” this year’s event aims to pinpoint business opportunities for Filipino companies in countries where potential outsourced construction and engineering services are welcome. The increased know-how of Filipino companies in various sub-sectors which includes green building and energy efficiency.
While on the 22nd there will be a German Business Mission presenting its services to Filipino counterparts, on the 24th of June there will be an extraordinary session in partnership with the Infrastructure and Construction Focus Group highlighting the direction and capability building for the future of Filipino-based companies. The title of this session is going to be “Upgrading Credentials for Construction and Related Engineering Services” in which Arch. Nati will talk about the Green Living Mindset alongside Arch. Jun Palafox, PE2s Energy Alliance President Alexander Ablaza, Sylvester Wong of AECOM and ICFG Executive Director Lorens Ziller.
IDC’s developments in Cagayan de Oro and in Sto Tomas, Batangas, are in fact the ideal example of building with passive green design making construction more sustainable for the environment and more livable and healthy for its residents. Further the event will discuss the government support for corporate exporters of engineering and construction services on the 25th of June. For sure the Philippines is growing into a knowledge based powerhouse with huge potential for exporting its industry services abroad, where Filipino companies are gaining more and more credibility and importance.
