Camp Courageous Resort opened its doors in 2019. It was originally a camp site area for youth camps and other religious activities. A small pool was created for the recreation of the owner’s grandchildren until other people have seen the swimming pool. A lot of people were interested and asked if it was open for the public. That paved the way to create a much bigger pool. It has 3 swimming pools that can cater for all ages. Located at Zone 10, Calaanan, Canitoan, Cagayan de Oro City, Camp Courageous is open for daytime tours (Monday-Saturday 8AM-6PM and Sundays at 12NN-6PM) where guests can enjoy the pools, grill their favorite sinugba dishes, enjoy napping in the fresh air amidst a 360-degree rural mountainside view or go horseback riding. All this you can enjoy just from a twenty-minute ride from either the downtown or uptown metropolis of Cagayan de Oro!
Entrance is pegged at P100 for adults and kids, and you can use any of the three swimming pools all day long.
Camp Courageous also has cottages to choose from during your daylong stay from tables (good for 7 persons), small closed cottage (good for 15 persons), gazebo (good for 25 persons) and big closed airconditioned cottage (good for 20 persons). This is ideal for families and friends having their picnics, companies having their anniversary celebrations, or government offices having their team building or retreats.
Camp Courageous is also an alcohol-free resort. You can bring your own food, lechon etc without any corkage fee. There is no restaurant or café yet in the area, but coal-fired grillers are provided. Soda drinks, coffee and snack chips are available at the entrance area. Only soda drinks have corkage fee since it’s available in the resort.
