PAST District Governor Manuel “Manny” Along of the Rotary International District 3870 has been appointed the new The Rotary Foundation chair of the district for RY 2023-24. The appointment was signed by District Governor-Elect Gilda “Gigi” Go whose term, together with her leadership team including Along, will all start this June up to July 2024.

The Rotary Foundation helps Rotary members to advance world understanding, goodwill and peace by improving health, providing quality education, improving the environment and alleviating poverty. It transforms gifts from Rotarians into service projects that change lives both close to home and around the world. “I believe he is the perfect person for the position. He is an excellent communicator, sets a good example of generosity, a good motivator and he believes in Rotary and the good it does for humanity,” Go said upon signing Along’s appointment document. “Thank you Gov. Manny for your leadership! I am honored that we will be working together in the coming Rotary year.” The leadership team will oversee 44 clubs in the provinces of Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, North Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao, Camiguin and Cagayan de Oro City.
