The Department of Science and Technology Region XI will be celebrating the Regional Science and Technology Week (RSTW) virtually on December 12-14, 2022, to showcase DOST programs and services and celebrate the contribution of Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) to society.
This year’s RSTW is the third year that it will be held virtually since the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
DOST XI Regional Director Dr. Anthony Sales said that Davao is just one of the 16 regions in the country to celebrate the significant impact of STIs.
“We are enjoining our pentahelix partners from the academe, industry, government, media, and civil society organizations to participate in the various webinar activities we will hold for three days,” Dr. Sales added.
The webinar activities slated for the event will cover Renewable Energy, Climate Change, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics education, Blockchain Technology, Food Security, and Intellectual Property.
Anchored on the theme “Agham at Teknolohiya: Kabalikat sa Maunlad at Matatag na Kinabukasan,” the 3-day virtual activity is expected to gather relevant stakeholders in the region and contribute to the Agency’s goal of bringing Science closer to the people through the promotion of its services.
