Camiguin elected officials take oath before Gaerlan

CAMIGUIN (PIA)–Administered by Associate Justice Samuel Gaerlan of the Supreme Court of the Philippines, elected officials of the province including Governor-elect Xavier Jesus Romualdo, Vice-Governor-elect Rodin Romualdo, and Representative-elect Jurdin Jesus Romualdo, took their oath at the New Capitol Building, Poblacion, Mambajao, here, June 26. 

Gracing the oath taking ceremony, House Majority Leader and Leyte Rep. Ferdinand Martin Romualdez said, “This is a new beginning for Camiguin and as I spy through the capitol building doors, I see the new gym and of course I am equally impressed by this edifice, the symbol of progress and prosperity in Camiguin, this beautiful Capitol building, the symbol of the province of the people of Camiguin.”

Romualdez also said that together with Representative-elect Jurdin Jesus Romualdo, they will make sure that the priority programs and projects of Camiguin will be realized, “if not immediately, sooner definitely because that is our mission and that is why I wanted to make sure that I’d be here,” he added.

The newly elected mayors, who took their oath include Kiterio Antonio Palarca of Catarman, Richard Uayan of Sagay, Helenio Abecia of Guinsiliban, Rey Lawrence Tan of Mahinog, and Yñigo Jesus Romualdo of Mambajao. 

For the municipal vice-mayors, Gaerlan administered the oath taking of Rony Sagocsoc of Catarman, Joseph Uayan of Sagay, Elvis Roxas of Guinsiliban, Nerio Galochino of Mahinog, and Robert Jones Closas of Mambajao. 

Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) members of the first district who took their oath include Shella Babanto, Ma. Victoria Jansol, and Louis Bollozos. For the second district, the SP members include Stanley Planco, Christina Loquias, and Webb Bajenio.

The Sangguniang Bayan (SB) members in Catarman include Carlito Sagocsoc, Wilfredo Abregana, Kevin Sevilla, Jorge Salas, Cathyrine Galos, Jorgeta dela Riarte, and Remedios Absuelo.

SB members in Sagay who took their oath include Niel John Yangco, Nestor Tongol, Roger Zaballero, Maria Naomi Fuentes, Jose Rufino Ladao, Edgar Dagaraga, Domyleo Dadang, and Nestor Castañares.

For Guinsiliban, the SB members include Maria Rose Albis, Lyndee Medalla, Rajah Rex Tabalba, Arturo Chaves, Jr., Charita Ayuban, Veronica Len Cadavez, Virgilio Lacerna, and Manuelito Pacudan.

Mahinog SB members who took their oath include Neoleda Clara Salon, Maida Pacuribot, Fe Rachel Lumbay, Kindred Jajalla, Rosie Dewetes, Ramil Bayucot, Nilo Salcedo, and Kaiser Abao.

SB members in Mambajao include Lander Jun Cutab, Rex Anthony Vivares, Argenito Sabacajan, Jr., Nelpher Catacutan, Aileen Grado, Emmanuel Aranas, Zita Abellare, and Rogelio Salugsugan, Jr.

The turnover of responsibilities will also be held at the New Capitol Building, June 27. (RTP/PIA-10/Camiguin)
