CAMIGUIN (PIA)–Noting the high vaccination rate of the province, which is at 108.9% (for fully vaccinated individuals) as of September 17, the provincial government here simplified the travel protocols for locals and tourists through the issuance of Executive Order No. 15.
“Nakita nato ang dagan sa atong probinsya nganong naing-ani ta karon kay daghan gyud kaayo Caminguingnon nagpa-vaccinate. Pasalamat gyud kaayo mi sa province, sa atong mga LGU, sa atong mga barangay sa tanan nga nagpa-vaccinate ug nagpa-booster kay dako gyud kaayo og tabang sa pag-reopen nato sa atong probinsya ug pag-recover sa atong ekonomiya, especially sa atong turismo,” Gov. Xavier Jesus Romualdo said, September 18.
(We have seen the progress in our province, why we are in this state right now. It’s because many Camiguingnons have submitted themselves for vaccination. We are very thankful in the province, LGUs (local government units), barangays, to those who availed the vaccination and booster dose because this is of big help in the province’s economic recovery, especially in our tourism)
Based on EO 15 or the revised travel protocols in the province, effective September 19, 2022, adult travelers and minors between 12-17 years old visiting the province (non-residents) are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and minors between 5-11 years old only need the first dose of the primary series.
All visitors are required to register and schedule their visit to the province via www.cleancamiguinqr.com. Minors and children, regardless of age, must be registered and have their own QR codes.
“Ang registration para musulod ka sa system, required gyud nato nga naa kay CleanCamiguin QR code para sa contact tracing kay aron dali ra gyud kay in case lang mukuan [mukuyanap] gyud ang COVID, dali ra ma-contact trace mas mas dali nato makontrol ang spread sa infection. So mao nang important kaayo ang contact tracing ug nag-invest gyud ta ani nga system,” Romualdo said.
(In registration to the system, we require the CleanCamiguin QR code for contact tracing. This is helpful, especially when there a COVID-19 infection, to speed up contact tracing and we can easily control the spread of the infections. Thus, contact tracing is very important and we really invested on this system)
Verifiers in Balingoan Port will also be pulled out from their station since everything will just go through the system. Tourists will just need their vaccination documents and confirmed booking of accommodation uploaded in the system and will such be verified online.
For residents, fully vaccinated and ‘boostered’ (at least one booster dose) adults would only need their CleanCamiguin vaccination ID card, while minors only need to present their CleanCamiguin QR ID and complete primary COVID-19 vaccination series.
Residents who have not availed the booster dose yet will still follow the regular requirements such as the yellow card or the entry/exit LGU documents.
“Ato nang giwala ang acceptance. Wala na’y acceptance. Ang kinahanglan nalang nimo i-upload kay certification gikan sa LGU. Ang imong puy-an diri sa Camiguin mukuha lang sila sa LGU og certification nga tanan tao sa balay fully vaccinated ug naka-booster na,” Romualdo said.
(We already got rid of issuance of the acceptance documents. The traveler would only need to upload the certification from the LGU. The residents of the house where you will be staying in Camiguin, will just get the certification from the LGU stating that everyone in the household are already fully vaccinated and have received the booster dose)
Resorts, accommodations, and all establishments in the province are also required to scan the CleanCamiguin QR code of their guests or clients to ensure easy contact tracing throughout the province.
Also, in the upcoming activities in the province such as the Lanzones Festival, October 23-30, participants and spectators are required to have their booster dose, especially in crowd-drawing activities.
“Aron safe gyud ta mag-celebrate sa atong Lanzones Festival. Kinahanglan naka-booster ka (So we are all safe in celebrating the Lanzones Festival. You should have the booster dose),” Romualdo said. (RTP/PIA-10/Camiguin)
