654 ARBs benefit from DAR-10’s 396 CLOAs

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY–Seeking ways to help improve the lives of the farmers, Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Sec. Conrado Estrella III led the distribution of 396 Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) to 654 agrarian reform beneficiaries, entailing 999.6785 hectares of land, as well as the launching of the “Agraryong Abogado Todo Serbisyo sa Benepisyaryo,” September 9, here.

“Natutuwa naman ako dahil sinabayan ng ating direktor at nagkaroon tayo ng official launching of itong “Agraryong Abogado Todo Serbisyo sa Benepisyaryo” ng agrarian reform. Maganda ito dahil pupunta mismo ‘yung mga abogado sa inyo upang tumulong sa inyong mga kaso, upang mapadali ang pagbigay ng mga titulo sa inyong lahat, sa mga beneficiaries natin,” DAR Sec. Conrado Estrella III said.

DAR Regional Director Zoraida Macadindang says the
distribution of the land titles to their beneficiaries is a manifestation of how DAR gives importance to the recipients “because we believe that DAR is nothing without you. Thus, today, your hope of getting and receiving your title will be realized.”

(I am happy that our director takes the lead in having this official lanunching of the “Agraryong Abogado Todo Serbisyo sa Benepisyaryo” of the agrarian reform. This is good because the lawyers will personally go to your area to help in your case, so we can speed up the giving of the titles to all our beneficiaries)

For the turnover of sub-projects, DAR-10 highlighted the Tulay ng Pangulo Para sa Kaunlarang Pang-Agraryo, which connects Barangay Kiliog and Barangay Nangka in Libona Bukidnon, and the vegetable production project in Taparak, Alubijid, Misamis Oriental.

“Kining among pagpang-apud-apod sa mga yuta sa inyo, namong mga beneficiary, nagpaila lang gyud kung unsa mo ka importante sa amo sa DAR because nagtuo kami nga wala ang DAR kung wala kamo. Busa karong adlawa matuman na gyud ang inyong dugay na nga gipangandoy nga makuha ug madawat na gyud ang maong mga titulo,” DAR Regional Director Zoraida Macadindang said.

(Our distribution of the land titles to you our beneficiaries, is a manifestation of how DAR gives importance to you because we believe that DAR is nothing without you. Thus, today, your hope of getting and receiving your title will be realized)

ARBs from Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, and Misamis Oriental received the CLOAs as well as th sub-projects intended for their livelihood. From the said total, 10 ARBs are from Misamis Oriental/Camiguin, Bukidnon (360), Lanao del Norte (138), and Misamis Occidental (146).

Leaders of the ARBs extended their gratitude to DAR, especially with the distribution of the CLOAs. “Over 20 years na gyud namo gyung paningkamot nga makaangkon og titulo sa amoang luna nga amo na gyung gipanginabuhian. Mura mi’g nagdamgo nga gitawagan mi nga na’y posibilidad nga ubanon ta didto sa Cagayan de Oro ug wala sad mi magtuo nga diay mao diay ni among gianhi diri ang pagdawat diay sa maong titulo,” said Renoir Amores, ARB from Bukidnon.

(We have been exerting effort to earn the title of the land that we are using for livelihood for over 20 years. We are like dreaming when we got a call that we might be taken to Cagayan de Oro and we could not believe that we will get the title as we came here)

Estrella also said they tapped the Department of Health (DOH) to include agrarian reform beneficiaries on the medical assistance for indigent patients; and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for the scholarship of the ARBs’ children.

Also, with the help of their research data scientists, DAR will help in providing livestock, such as cattle and buffalo, to augment the income of the farmers of at least P21,000 per month from the 8-10 liters daily milk produce of the livestock. (RTP/PIA-10)
