Cagayan de Oro,May – A total of 251 passengers aboard the Cebu Pacific Airbus Flight 5J141 inaugural flights on Saturday.
The first flight is from Laguindingan International Airport with 119 passengers that takes off around 10:00 O’clock in the morning to Clark International Airport in Pampanga while the flight from Clark arrived in Laguindingan at around 3:00 O’clock in the afternoon with 132 on board passengers including 3 infants.
Included in the inaugural flight from Clark is Department of Tourism Undersecretary for Mindanao Myra Paz Valderrosa Abubakar.
In an interview, Abubakar said that she is optimistic for more visitors in the future from Luzon who want to visit Mindanao via Laguindingan airport and looking forward for more connectivities from Clark to any part of Mindanao.
The 129 adult passengers from Clark who arrived in Laguindingan Saturday afternoon received a token from the Department of Tourism regional office of Northern Mindanao lead by Regional Director Marie Ellaine S. Unchuan who personally handed over the giveaways to passengers with USEC Abubakar.
Unchuan said that a travel exchange in Region 10 and Region 3 is their main agenda after this inaugural flight.
Aside from a token received by the passengers from DoT-10,,they also entertained by a cultural performances from a manobo tribe at the lobby of the airport.
On the other hand, Abubakar and Unchuan entertained a tour operator who is also aboard the flight 5J141 at the DoT-10 extension office inside the airport. The tour operator flew here for a familiarization tour throughout Northern Mindanao to key tourism areas.
The Brand new Cebu Pacific Air bus can accommodate a total of 188 passengers with 3 times a week schedule on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
