PAG-ASA Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) Region 10 chapter marks its 50th anniversary with a celebratory event held in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon from July 24 to 26 thisyear.
The gathering convened 300 youth members from five provinces across Region 10.

Various activities challenged and united the delegates including a festival dance, bench cheering competition, PYAP Showcase of Success Stories, Amazing Race, PYAP Got Talent show, and the crowning of Mr. & Ms. PYAP 2024.
These activities highlighted the talents and achievements of the out-of-school-youth (OSY) involved in PYAP’s programs.

Assistant regional director Ronald Ryan Cui delivered a keynote message challenging the youth to prioritize sustainability in their efforts to support the welfare of OSYs and other underprivileged youth.
“Former members now hold crucial positions such as barangay kagawads, barangay captains, and sangguniang bayan members… I challenge you to marry initiatives with that of the Sangguniang Kabataan or SK federations so the activities of our youth will not be branded not just pure recreational but with greater purpose,” Cui said.

The anniversary celebration underscored PYAP’s commitment to empowering disadvantaged youth, particularly the OSYs.
